Innisfil Veterinary Hospital Response to COVID–19

Dear Valued Clients,

Our hours have changed due to the COVID-19 outbreak and until further notice we will be open 9-5.

In light of these uncertain times, we wanted to reach out and let you know how we, as your Veterinary Hospital are responding to the COVID–19 pandemic.

First and foremost, we want to assure you we are still open to assist you and your furry, four-legged family members in any way we can. 

Although as a hospital we already practice a high level of sanitation and disinfection, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning our common areas (front desk, reception seating) and paying special attention to door handles and other frequently contacted surfaces.

We are supporting our team by encouraging them to seek medical care and self-isolate should they start having any flu-like symptoms.

In an effort to support social distancing, we will be spacing out our appointments more than usual to minimize the number of clients in our reception area at any given time.  This may minimize same day appointments and we ask for your patience and understanding regarding this.  We also request that you do not walk in to the clinic without an appointment for any type of procedure, and suggest calling ahead for food and medication refills so we can have your items ready for pick up when you arrive.  Again, this is to minimize the number of people in the hospital at any given time.

As always, if you have a true emergency please proceed directly to the hospital.

If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, have travelled outside of Canada in the last 2 weeks or have had contact with a known or suspected individual with COVID-19 we respectfully ask that you reschedule your appointment or have another family member or friend bring your pet in for you.  If this is not possible, please call the hospital ahead of your appointment so we can discuss the best way to manage your individual situation.

Please contact us during regular business hours if you have any further questions.  We will be monitoring this evolving situation closely and will re-evaluate our response as new information becomes available.

Weekly COVID-19 update:

We are still accepting and processing medication refills and food sales, however we will not be allowing pick up of these items on Saturdays.

We still ask that medication refills and food requests be ordered by phone, one week ahead.

We are open 9-5 Monday-Friday for curbside pick up of these items. Please see previous posts for detailed protocols.

UPDATE:

Due to the ongoing changes and risks following COVID-19

We ask that you please wait in your car and call the clinic at (705)436-2000. Staff will then direct you further. Ideal situation is to call from home so that we can plan your visit accordingly. For food and prescription refills we request that you call ahead to place your order supplies are limited please request only what you truly need. We are doing our best to process all of our transactions over the phone. We are still open to serve the community but we will no longer be accepting walk-in appointments at this time or until further notice. In doing this we are practicing social distancing for the safety of our staff and the community.
